Exceptional Fantasy

Exceptional Fantasy is a role-playing game for 3 to 5 players where the players take on the roles of faction leaders in an epic fantasy world.  In many fantasy games the players are ground level heroes taking on quests and threats on a moment-to-moment basis.  In Exceptional Fantasy the players are the epic movers and shakers of the world and events that might be entire campaigns in other games are resolved as single game rounds here.

A tarot deck is used both to inspire world creation and resolve epic events using a trick-taking mechanic similar to the whist family of card games.  The game includes a GM role but the role is constrained by a round-robin turn structure that keeps the game fast paced and focused on the big picture.
